Alpha Women’s Center was the thankful recepient of children’s clothing and accessories donated by the vendors from the West Michigan Mom’s Sale on September 19. What amazing generosity! We handed out over 120 large bags they returned back to us filled with baby and maternity clothing, toys, etc. Thank you vendors for supporting our work with women and children in Greater Grand Rapids!

The West Michigan Mom’s Sale was started by a few local moms who wanted a better way to sell and shop for their growing kids’ clothing and toys. Modeled after Southeast Michigan’s popular Mom-2-Mom sales, the West Michigan Mom’s Sale is the only sale of its kind in Grand Rapids. Parents are able to shop gently used baby/children’s clothing (up to size 8), toys, baby gear, baby/toddler furniture, and maternity clothing from over 200 tables. And unlike other sales, WMMS allows the seller to keep 100% of whatever they sell!

The shoppers are able to hunt for garage sale-type bargains year round at this quarterly, indoor sale. No more driving from neighborhood to neighborhood, getting the kids in and out of the car. Shoppers will never again waste their time shopping for gently used children’s items at garage sales.

Parents who have children’s items they need to sell, will be sold on the sale after they try it once. They pay for the table rental and we do all of the marketing and advertising for them. They’ll never hold another garage sale or mess with consignment stores once they have sold at the West Michigan Mom’s Sale. Every one of the hundreds of shoppers that walks through the door is looking for the types of items they are selling. The average seller at the last sale made between $800-$1,000 and 100% of them said that they would sell again at our sale.
