Step Up
Writing your own life story with the support of peers.
“Step Up” is a collaborative, innovative, fun and creative interactive learning experience for young moms 15-20 years old as well as moms 21-30 years old wishing to realize delayed dreams for their future. The purpose of the “Step Up” Program is to motivate self-confidence in the lives of desperate mothers by emphasizing the importance of abstinence, self esteem, and developing a life plan. The program will provide a pathway to the completion of a GED, assist with job preparation, and teach the women how to give back to the community. A hopeful outcome of “Step Up” is the reduction of unplanned pregnancies, STDs, and the reliance on government assistance by giving the women hope and a plan for a brighter future.
